Abstract Introduction: The goal of this paper to explain and analyze the supply chain risks of Iran's pharmaceutical industry. In this research, the combined approach of meta-synthesis and thematic analysis has been used.
Methodology: The approach of this research is qualitative. In the first stage, with a systematic review of related studies in the last 23 years with a meta- synthesis approach, supply chain risks in the pharmaceutical industry were identified. For this purpose, first 100 articles were selected and after several stages of filtering, 26 final articles remained and became the basis of the research. In the next step, the supply chain risks of Iran's pharmaceutical industry were obtained by thematic analysis method. For this purpose, a semi-structured interview of Iranian pharmaceutical industry informants was conducted using the method of purposeful sampling and theoretical analysis, with thematic analysis approach. In the last stage, by combining the results of meta-synthesis and thematic analysis, its validity analysis with the method of Content validity ratio, ten risks were obtained as the final risks of Iran's pharmaceutical industry.
Results and Discussion: Based on the results, the supply chain risks of Iran's pharmaceutical industry in order of priority are: environmental risks; problems of foreign currency supply and financial payments; lack of timely supply of raw materials; the complexity and incompatibility of information systems; low quality of raw materials and products; unavailability of medicine and its timely delivery; transportation and insurances; distribution sector technologies; Fluctuations in demand; Increase in the price of raw materials and medicine.
Conclusion: Out of the ten risks obtained, environmental risks, problems of foreign exchange and financial payments, increase in the price of raw materials and medicine, and transportation and insurance, (due to having the highest frequency in both methods of meta-synthesis and thematic analysis) have a greater impact on the supply chain. Therefore, the stakeholders of Iran's pharmaceutical supply chain should focus on these risk factors and plan for their management in order to improve the performance of the supply chain.

Abstract Managers are the architects of innovative strategies and leaders of creating company value. This study examines the effect of cost leadership and differentiation strategies on the relation between discretionary and non-discretionary accruals and bankruptcy risk. Variables of discretionary and non-discretionary accruals were measured by the adjusted Jones model, cost leadership strategy with asset turnover, differential strategy with profit margin, and bankruptcy risk was measured using the developed Altman Z method. A systematic screening method was used to select a sample of companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 2014 to 2021. The panel data pattern with fixed effects with the generalized least squares approach has been used to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that discretionary and non-discretionary accruals, cost leadership and differential strategies have a positive and significant relation with bankruptcy risk. The (cost leadership) differential strategy has a positive (negative) and significant effect on the relation between non-discretionary accruals and bankruptcy risk. The effect of differentiation strategy on the relation between discretionary accruals and bankruptcy risk is positive and significant, but the effect of cost leadership strategy on this relation is negative and insignificant. Therefore, with the increase of discretionary accruals, the amount of bankruptcy risk increases. But the cost leadership and differential strategies limits management's discretion and reduces the risk of bankruptcy.

Abstract Consumer behavior is a critical aspect of marketing strategy that involves understanding customers' buying habits, motivations, and preferences. Better understanding of customer behavior through innovative methods of storing and analyzing customer data and information leads to formulation of more effective strategies. The emergence of new computing technologies has brought about major changes in the ability of organizations to collect, store and analyze big data. Many researches have done customer classification using unsupervised machine learning algorithms such as K-Means using the famous RFM model, but these models are insufficient by ignoring other important parameters according to the field of application. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of data collection, and it is a quantitative type of research that was conducted using 200,000 transactions of online retail store customers during the period of 2013 to 2018. The model is modified by adding variety "D" as a fourth parameter, referring to the variety of products purchased by a given customer. Classification based on RFM-D is applied in the online retail market in order to identify behavioral patterns for customers. Examining the behavior of cluster customers showed that the variety of products, along with other behavioral variables, provided more profitability than the RFM model.

Abstract Recently, water has become a scarce resource in many countries, particularly in Iran. This study examines sustainable development strategies in the water sector and the agricultural industry, with the main aim of enhancing water consumption efficiency through the design of effective strategies. To achieve this goal, two methods of exploratory scenario writing and backcasting were employed. In the first phase, key scenarios were identified and critical decisions were extracted using exploratory scenario writing. Subsequently, the priority of these decisions was assessed through robustness analysis. In the next phase, backcasting was utilized to outline a desirable future and identify pathways to achieve it. These pathways were evaluated using the Delphi technique to identify the most significant ones. The results from both methods indicate the robustness of options emphasizing investment in water infrastructure, development of drought and salinity-resistant crops, and increased water recycling. It was also found that these two methods complement each other, providing complementary pathways and decisions. This research can serve as a solid foundation for policymakers and planners in managing sustainable water resources in the agricultural sector.

Saeed Zarandi; mohammad kazempour teymourloy

Abstract The developments of the last few decades in the economy, even capitalism and the crisis of 2007, show that it is impossible to talk about the withdrawal of the government in the development process. The level of government involvement in the development process is one of the important issues of the economy. The main goal of this research is to describe the way and scope of government intervention. The research method of this research is descriptive-analytical. Government production of goods and services, transfer payments, taxes and regulations are the four main channels of the government to influence economic activities. And the regulation of the government's optimal intervention based on investment, commercial and industrial policy has been investigated. Based on the results of the research, contrary to liberal beliefs that government intervention hinders development in East Asian countries, the conscious intervention of government agents is the main factor in the development of these countries, and the main focus in these countries is on the manner and scope of government intervention instead of interference or non-interference. In our country, the presence of the government should be comprehensive and focused on development. With the intervention of the government in the processes of development, regulation and guidance of the market mechanism, inadequacies can be eliminated and the economic system can be driven to a better situation in terms of resource allocation and economic capacity creation.

Mohammadhossein Mohammadi; Ruhollah Razini; Mohammad Noruzi

Abstract Since the design, implementation, and execution of any policy require consensus and alignment among its stakeholders, identifying these mindsets is a crucial first step in advancing such an initiative. National production, with its various dimensions, has been a key topic of interest for scholars and policymakers. Accordingly, this study aims to categorize the mindsets of actors in the field of national production in Iran, using Q methodology to identify and classify these perspectives. In this research, key propositions concerning national production were extracted through document analysis and subsequently presented to 28 stakeholders, including government officials, parliament members, and experts. Data analysis with Q methodology identified five distinct mindset types: "National Production Advocates," "Self-sufficiency Champions against Rent-seeking," "Pro-competition Opponents of Intervention," "Institutionalist Technocrats," and "Outward-looking Developmentalists." Despite some differences, stakeholders agreed on certain issues, including the regulatory role of the government, the need for targeted support for national production, the importance of completing the value chain in major industries, and the necessity of deepening production. A primary point of consensus is that national production requires a guiding entity capable of creating coherence and consensus among stakeholders, to implement cohesive and effective policies in this field.

Abstract The global banking industry, driven by new technologies and changing customer behavior, has undergone major changes unprecedentedly all over its history. As banks contend with innovation challenges in their processes, fintech companies benefiting from digital capabilities, deliver innovative and customer-centric services. In the business world, the collaboration between these two institutions has taken many forms. This has also attracted the attention of the academic community, and several papers have been written in this field. The purpose of this article is to review these articles, and its main question is: What has the scientific literature contribute toward bank-fintech collaboration? To answer this question, a systematic literature review, based on PRISMA Checklist, has been utilized and various specific areas have been examined to understand the necessity, evolution, challenges, drivers, benefits, barriers, and types of bank-fintech collaboration in the scientific articles. The most significant achievements of the articles are discussed in the paper; furthermore, different types of bank-fintech collaboration in the scientific literature are listed, and a bank-fintech collaboration algorithm is presented. Ultimately, the gaps in the literature and suggestions for future research are expressed.

The Dynamics of Accounting Information in Stock Valuation: An Industry-Based Analysis

Volume 21, Issue 1, May 2017, Pages 29-63

Abstract Industrial groups have interactions within and outside groups. In this paper, twelve industrial groups of companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange are reviewed in order to evaluate linear information dynamics. Conservatism measures of “ratio of sum of price to sum of book value” and “mean of price-to-book ratio” are considered. In sample periods, in order to remedy the effects of special factors in sample industries, later ratio is de-trended. For controlling effects of each industry, inflation, and some other factors on the various industry indices, two measures of “average annual difference between price and book value” and “each industry index” are considered. Industry analysis shows that "sum of price to sum of book value" criterion has a significant correlation with the average of market value to book value and the correlation would be stronger if using the de-trended criteriun. Finally, comparing scaled variables on the average annual difference between price and book value, it concluded that scaled variables based on the index of each industry led to a much stronger coefficient of valuation models. Therefore, for assessment and analysis of linear information dynamics in industrial groups (including environmental factors such as conservatism in accounting policies, industry, stock market indices, cost of capital rate, inflation, the policy of dividend distribution, past and present of book value and securities) can be used for developing residual income valuation models.

To assess digital supply chain in manufacturing industries (Case study: Bedding industry)

Volume 26, Issue 1, April 2022, Pages 139-163

Abstract One of the main challenges constantly facing the majority of the organizations is planning to develop and improve processes and operations based on the adoption of new technologies, especially digital technologies, to react to the requirements of markets and competitive environments. Therefore, by using hybrid research approach (qualitative and quantitative), the present study explores the applications of digital technologies in terms of technical needs and business performances in the supply chain network of the bedding industry. The method includes developing an efficient measurement tool to evaluate the digitalization and automation specifications for integrated management of the supply chain operations and flows in manufacturing industries and validating it using the multi-criteria decision-making approach DANP (DEMATEL-based ANP), which is considered the study’s contribution to knowledge and the literature. Therefore, in the first step, the list of influential factors was determined as 6 process areas and a total of 22 related attributes using the desk-based research and Delphi method. Then, the weights and relationships among factors were evaluated using the DANP technique. According to the obtained results, the process area of inventory and warehouse management is considered the most critical factor with the highest weight. However, the process areas of sourcing and buy and business management were identified as the most effective factors in improving critical areas.
