Article Evaluation in the Journal of Management Research in Iran

Introduction
The scientific journals of Tarbiat Modares University operate with the mission of selecting and publishing the highest quality research in their respective fields. In order to achieve this goal, the process of reviewing and publishing articles must be carried out accurately and with an impartial approach. The regulation and definition of the evaluation process is designed to achieve the goal of building trust in the review and publication process.
The author(s) are requested to raise any questions with the editor of the journal via the e-mail address or contact link -in the dedicated system of that journal- while reading carefully.

1. Recommendations before submitting an article
Please read the following before submitting an article:
- Review the goals and vision of the journal and its suitability with the article.
- Compliance with the "Guidelines and Guidelines for Writing and Submitting Articles"
- Compliance with the Journal's Code of Ethics
- Statement on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence
- Review of the Article Acceptance Process
- Attention to the indicators for evaluating the article and accurate responses to the questions and comments of the editor/reviewer(s). Which will follow.

2. Article Evaluation Process
1.    Register in the journal system and submit the article; by the author responsible for the article.
2.    Appearance review of the article, files and documents (such as the similarity file); by the internal manager.
3.    Initial review of the article, the areas of "originality", "subject relations with the journal's activities" and "technical quality" and finally rejection of the article or appointment of a reviewer; by the editor in cooperation and supervision of the editorial board members.
4.    Evaluation of the article in the 2 areas of "originality", "technical quality"; by the reviewer(s). Often, each article is sent to 2 to 4 reviewers.
5. Follow-up of article review; by the internal manager with the cooperation and supervision of the editor.
6. Rejection or acceptance of the article; by the editor with the cooperation and supervision of the editorial board members.
7. Notification of rejection, correction, and acceptance to the author; by the internal manager.

3. Article evaluation indicators

Innovation and up-to-dateness.
Scientific level and depth of specialized knowledge.
Applicability and effectiveness of the article in the scientific community.
Focus and maintaining the integrity of the topic and distribution, processing, and classification of the material.
Logical connection of the abstract, introduction, text, summary, and conclusion;
Authenticity and coherence of the material and avoidance of marginal topics;
Optimal use of original and new sources and their breadth;
Compliance with the principles of scientific editing and appropriate use of terminology.
Note: Articles are reviewed in each of the indicators at 6 levels: "excellent", "very good", "good", "average", "weak", and "very weak"; Finally, the final evaluation process will be based on the opinions of the referees and the review of the editorial board.

4. Results of the article evaluation process

• Rejection.
• Conditional acceptance after minor corrections; In this case, after the corrections are made, the final control and review is carried out by the editor.
• Conditional acceptance after general corrections; In this case, after the corrections are made, the article is sent to the previous referee(s).
• Final acceptance; After the final review of the article by the referee(s), initial acceptance is made by the editor and final acceptance is made at the editorial board meeting.

5. Reasons for article rejection
"Rejection of the article due to the existence of a similar article and research violations"; Failure to pay attention to the intellectual and moral rights and property of researchers will result in the rejection of the article.
"Rejection of the article due to failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the journal"; Submitting the article without considering the university's guidelines and guidelines for writing and submitting articles will result in the rejection of the article.
"Rejection of the article due to incompatibility with the content of the journal"; Submitting an article outside the journal's areas of activity - specialized areas - will result in the article being rejected.
"Rejection based on the opinion of the editor/reviewer(s)"; Failure to score points in the evaluation indicators will result in the article being rejected.
