[English]

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital technologies have revolutionized businesses, and no business is an exception to this rule. Despite the vital role of project-oriented organizations of Iran's oil and gas industry in the economy Iran, so far no comprehensive research has been conducted to conceptualize digital transformation in these organizations. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to design and verify the conceptual model of digital transformation for these organizations.
The present study is an applied research with an exploratory approach in which a mixed research method has been used. In the qualitative stage, data collection was done through in-depth interviews, sampling by purposeful judgment method, grounded theory was used to analyze the data and fuzzy Delphi technique was used to validate the identified factors. In the quantitative stage, interpretive structural modeling technique was used to design the model, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data, and structural equation modeling based on partial least squares was used to examine the factors relationships and validate the proposed model.
Based on the research findings, the digital transformation model of Project-Based organizations in Iran's oil and gas industry, is a multifaceted systemic process with 53 Factors and 9 Dimensions including Internal Drivers, External Drivers, Industry and Governance Factors, strategic implications of digital transformation, Innovative Use of Digital Technology, Structural and Behavioral Change, Areas for Improvement, Interfering Factors, and consequences of digital transformation. the results of model validation show that the relationships between the components are significant.
